The 25th Anniversary programme of events included a much anticipated Fashion Show which took place at Prince Andrew School on Thursday 18 December.
The show featured 37 Prince Andrew School students who modelled styles from the 80’s right up to the present day. Student models included boys and girls across the age from years 7 – 13. The programme for the evening involved 10 scenes which were separated into two parts. The programme started with a parade of the school uniform followed by an energetic cheerleading presentation representing the four houses here at Prince Andrew School. We were then treated to 2014 fashion followed by an exciting array of Stars from the 1980’s up to the present day. Other scenes included a ‘Gothic’ theme, a stunning Evening Wear parade, a Neon theme with florescent clothes and accessories and culminating with a Silver Finale to celebrate 25th Anniversary. The music accompanying the various scenes kept the audience of 350 taping their feet and clapping throughout. Refreshments were provided by the PTA. A Raffle and collection was taken with proceeds to be donated to the Disabled Persons Society.
The students of Prince Andrew School were once again a credit to the school and in his closing vote of thanks, Head Teacher Mr Paul Starkie echoed an appreciative audience by congratulating the students on a wonderfully entertaining performance. He also thanked the many staff, students and members of the wider community who had helped with the organisation of the event. Mr Starkie paid special tribute to the organising team including Barbara Osborne, Carine Young, Annalene Young and Abby Kirk for all their hard work in preparing the students for the show.
The Organising Team commented:
‘We were delighted with the show and how much the audience enjoyed it. The models had all worked really hard and we were very proud of them. We would also like to thank the parents and guardians for their support with the costumes.’
